Silicon Power Technology’s co-founders are semiconductor veterans; China’s leading power semiconductor academics; and Silicon Valley’s top semiconductor incubator. The shareholders include GaoZhan, an asset management company with deep experience in semiconductor investment, and Silicon Catalyst, the most advanced semiconductor incubator from Silicon Valley. The Power Integration Technology Lab of University of Electronic Science and Technology of China (UESTC) is also a key partner. With more than 20 PhD professors, this lab is regarded as the largest academic research group in the global power semiconductor industry.

Silicon Catalyst has created an ecosystem including in-kind partners, industry leaders, consultants and investors to provide startups with products and services. Over the past 3 years, since the founding of Silicon Catalyst, it has reviewed more than 200 startups, of which 19 have become leaders in the market.

GAOZHAN is a multi-faceted Chinese company led by semiconductor industry veterans. We have more than 45 years of semiconductor industry experience combined with more than 25 years experience living and working in Greater China. GAOZHAN has two divisions to service its customers and partners: Consulting division and Investment division.
GAOZHAN’s Consulting division offers Management. Strategy and Operations consulting services to Chinese and International companies operating in the Semiconductor and Electronics industries. Silicon Catalyst is the world's only incubator focused exclusively on semiconductor solution startups. It addresses the challenges faced by these startups while guiding them from idea to prototype, and then to product. Silicon Catalyst has created a growing ecosystem of In-Kind partners, industry-leading companies, expert advisors, and investors. This ecosystem enables the startups to form deep relationships with people that provide value to their long-term success. Silicon Catalyst also provides the startups with goods and services from its network of In-Kind partners to dramatically reduce the cost of development. Silicon Catalyst startups interact with a valuable network of expert advisors. In addition, the strategic partners share their experience and actively look for opportunities to work together with Silicon Catalyst startups.
Well over 200 startup companies have engaged with Silicon Catalyst since April 2015, and Silicon Catalyst has admitted 16 exciting companies.
Power Integrated Technology Laboratory
Power Integrated Technology Lab (PITEL), which belongs to the School of Electronic Science and Engineering (Demonstrative College of Microelectronics) of University of Electronic Science and Technology, is an important part of "National Key Laboratory of Electronic Thin Films and Integrated Devices" and "Integrated Circuit Research Center of University of Electronic Science and Technology". The laboratory aims at the first-class in the world and devotes itself to the research of power semiconductor science and technology, covering discrete devices, integrated power semiconductor devices and power integrated circuits. The international counterparts are known as "the largest academic research team in the field of power semiconductor technology in the world" and "the most comprehensive academic team in the field of power semiconductor research".
In recent years, the laboratory has published more than 300 SCI papers. The number of papers collected by IEEE ISPSD at the top international conference in this field ranks first among the global research teams in ISPSD 2013, 2017 and 2018. The laboratory has applied for more than 1,000 invention patents, and has been granted more than 500 invention patents in China and the United States. The laboratory took the lead in winning the second prize of national scientific and technological progress in 2010, the first prize of Sichuan scientific and technological progress in 2009 and 2016, the second prize of natural science of the Ministry of Education in 2014, the first prize of Sichuan Electronic Science and technology in 2015, the first prize of scientific and technological invention of China Electronic Science and Technology Group Corporation in 2011, and the second prize of electronic information science and technology of China Electronic Society in 2011.
